After the pandemic, many people continued to work from home setting up home offices at the bottom of the garden and installing computers, printers and other technological devices in these workspaces. As this office space was away from the main house people began to realise that there was a big security issue especially as these home offices housed expensive computer equipment so what security solutions are the most effective in these cases?

The first and probably the most obvious consideration is to have quality doors and locks on the building. Usually, these home offices are built from wood but that does not mean that they cannot be made secure by using strong locks and bolts on doors and windows.

Secondly, a professional alarm system should be fitted that is linked to the main property and has sensors inside and outside the office building. To avoid them going off unnecessarily they can be set so that movements from animals will not trigger the alarm.

Having a CCTV system fitted with cameras located in and around the building should act as a deterrent to any would be thieves but will also show if someone is attempting to break into the home office allowing you to use the footage as evidence in a crime investigation.
